And Now for Something Completely Different (1971)
Directed by Ian MacNaughton
***1/4
It's cheeky. It's clever. It's basically Monty Python's sketches put together into a film-length feature. From "Dead Parrot" to "The Lumberjack Song", from "Blackmail" to "Hell's Grannies", enjoy all the over-the-top bizarrities your laugh muscles can stand. As a film, it doesn't really work, cause it seems to last longer than the Energizer Bunny. But if you like MP, or the multi-sketch-at-a-time approach they developed, it's worth a look.
